Terms of Use

These product terms apply to Maths Trainer, operated by Miltinson Technologies LLC. They supplement the shared Miltinson Technologies Terms of Use, which cover acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and changes to terms. Where these product terms are silent, the shared terms apply. Where the two differ, these product terms control for Maths Trainer.

1. Who can create an account

Maths Trainer accounts are for adults 18 or older: parents, legal guardians, and teachers. Children use Maths Trainer only through a player profile that the account holder adds, and only with the account holder's permission and supervision.

To create an account you must tick a box confirming you are 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of any child who will use the app (or a teacher adding students with their school's permission), and that you agree to these terms and have read the Maths Trainer Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • Give a real email address that you check. We use it for sign-in, password resets, and notices about Maths Trainer.
  • Keep your password and parent portal PIN private. You are responsible for activity on your account, including players added from a signed-in device.
  • Only add a child you are the parent or legal guardian of, or a student you are authorized to add as a teacher.
  • Use a first name or nickname for each player, not a full name.

3. Children's information

The Maths Trainer Privacy Policy explains what we collect about children, how we use it, and how you can review, change, or delete it. It is part of these terms.

4. Parent controls

From the parent portal, which is protected by your PIN, you can add, lock, turn off, reset, and delete players, change a player's grade and avatar, and turn read-aloud and sound effects off on the device you are using. You decide how and when your child uses Maths Trainer.

5. Educational content

  • Maths Trainer is a practice tool. It does not replace a teacher, a school curriculum, or professional advice, and we do not promise any particular learning result or grade.
  • We may change problems, lessons, skills, and the rules for points, badges, and grade progress. When we change the curriculum, we may need to reset progress records.
  • We work to keep problems and answers correct. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.

6. Price

Maths Trainer is currently offered without charge, and there are no in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and terms before you are charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

7. Acceptable use

Follow the acceptable use rules in the shared Miltinson Technologies Terms of Use. In addition, do not enter anyone's personal information into Maths Trainer other than a player's first name or nickname, age range, and grade.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Maths Trainer at any time. You can delete players from the parent portal, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing us from the account's email address. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

9. Everything else

Intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law (the State of Washington) and where disputes are heard, and changes to terms are covered by the shared Miltinson Technologies Terms of Use linked above. If we change these product terms, we will update the date at the top.
