Each problem offers the tools that fit it. Kids drag, split, and count on screen.

Grades K–3

How we teach

We say regrouping — not carrying or borrowing.

Ten ones become one ten. Kids watch that happen on screen and hear the same word for it that their teacher uses in class.

The rest of the wording follows the same rule: plain terms that describe what the numbers are doing.

We say
Regrouping
Not
Carrying · Borrowing
Because
10 ones = 1 ten. The value stays the same. Only its name changes.

For parents and teachers

Built the way math is taught in class.

Grade-aligned

K through 8

Each grade's skills are matched to the Common Core math standards and Washington's state math standards for that grade.

Research-informed

Methods with named sources

When a lesson's method comes from research, such as the National Research Council or the What Works Clearinghouse, the lesson lists the source.
